Dance me to the end of Love

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic ’til I’m gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love,  Leonard Cohen

Beautiful words by the amazing Leonard Cohen, who I was fortunate to see when he last visited Melbourne. WoW! He reminds us of the possibilities of the dance, of the dive into truth, of acknowledging pain, but also deep love.  We will be dancing our truth for two hours tomorrow night in celebration of the Winter Solstice. This longest night, is an opportune time to dive into the dance, into the body, into the breath- and follow our path, wherever it takes us. Let us allow our movement impulses to guide us once more. Movement is after all our first sense, our first real connection to the world, and continues to be a great source of learning and wisdom. If we allow it to be. I Invite you all to allow the wisdom of your moving body to shine a light on your truth. Come and share this evening with me, with all those who turn up to be fully present to their lives.

Dancing Nature

Here is a link to a fascinating article on the ways in which we can use dance and movement to enhance our deep connection to the world around us.  When we listen to and attune to our bodies, we are listening to nature, but we need to recognise and support this process. This article offers insights on the processes of embodiment and embedment which is this recognition that we are nature!  Please read on:

Dancing the Wheel of Life

This week is an opportune time to celebrate our deep connection to life in dance. The full moon in Sagittarius encourages us to experience connection to our higher self, to the universe, and this is followed by the Transit of Venus on Wednesday- reminding us of the power of the goddess, of love, of seeing the world as the goddess. And it’s also Earth Day on Wednesday, when we remember who we truly are- earth and spirit, so we will be dancing our embodied spirituality, we will be dancing our interdependence, our connection to the wheel of life. We will be dancing connection, grateful for this amazing, abundant and generous world, of which we are all a part. You are welcome to come and dance with us as we celebrate our heart felt knowing, our bodies wisdom, our matter and energy, and our deep connections. Come alive to all that your body (as earth/spirit) offers you in each and every moment.  In joy
